KIA INAUGURATES SOLAR-POWERED GREEN WORKSHOP, TARGETS 150 MORE BY 2026

Kia India recently inaugurated its first solar-powered green workshop in Rohtak, Haryana. The company has also committed to opening 150 more green workshops by 2026. These workshops will be located in tier 3 and 4 markets, in addition to metro, tier 1, and tier 2 cities.

The new green workshop in Rohtak is powered by solar panels and optimizes water and energy usage extensively. It can meet more than 80% of its energy requirements through solar power, and it also has an EV AC charging unit.

The workshop also recycles 100% of the water used during the servicing process, and it has a rainwater harvesting system to replenish the groundwater level. Additionally, the workshop uses steam wash technology to wash cars, which saves 95% of water compared to conventional car washing methods.
